Introduction to Humanities

My Manifesto

Helping people is something some people do without thought or pause. Taking care of people has always been a big thing that I have strived for in my life. I have always wanted to bring out the best in people and make their lives a little easier in the process. That’s why for my career I want to help others and care for them even when times are tough. Stressful situations happen, but if we help others, we can make a difference. A nurse can always find ways to make someone smile or draw attention to something that might be missed by someone else’s watch. It might not be something that makes the largest difference like curing cancer, but it can lead to making a difference and being an example to others.

Empathy for others lives and understand is a powerful difference that can fog missed. When working with others, we always need to keep that people have different values and ideas that might not be that same. But our difference can also be our strength. Knowing that there is a difference in culture, gender, religions, and many other values in people’s lives helps in ways that you must consider in all aspects of your life. During caring for a patient, maybe there will be a reform to be made so that care can be more compassionate for others and more understanding. Maybe situation will arise when caring for a patient, you’ll need to fight for a patients right to be treated in a certain way even though what they believe may be drastically different than what you would think. If a patient comes in still believing in something as drastic as wanting to follow for example, Hitler’s take on the world. You still need to treat that patient. You still need to help make a difference and make their situation better without changing your care because of your own beliefs. It doesn’t mean that you support what they believe. But you support that everyone deserves to be helped in the health care world.
